It’s been 10 years on since popular Nigerian Hip-Hop singer Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, professionally known as Dagrin, died in a ghastly motor accident on April 22, 2010.
Prio to his death, Dagrin was the lead star of Yoruba rap music and is still regarded as one of the best indigenous rappers Nigeria ever had. His untimely death came as a shock to fans who adored his songs, and left behind a void in the music industry many feared would be impossible to fill.
Nigerian music lovers has taken to Twitter to commemorate the 10th year of his passing on, with the hashtag #dagrin10yrs currently the number trending topic in the country’s Twitter community.
