Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo Escapes Helicopter Death For the 2nd Time

The helicopter conveying Nigerian Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State Nigeria. This will be the second time the vice president survived a minor helicopter accident.

In June 2018, the Vice President escaped his first helicopter accident. And in yesterday February 2nd, he escaped another minor helicopter accident. This has shocked the nation and has also got people talking.

After the VP chopper crashed landed in Kabba, the VP and the entire crew of the flight were safe with no injuries. He continued his engagements and plays for the day in Kogi State, Nigeria.

Hours later, he took to his Twitter page to confirm the incident saying.

‘We are safe and sound! Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and thank you to the crew who managed the situation well. We believe that God will continue to keep us and Nigeria safe even as we go higher’ Osinbajo tweeted.

Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of the vice president thanks to God as her hubby survived yet another tragedy when his helicopter crash-landed in Kogi State yesterday.

She wrote, ‘all glory to God. Our God whose name is Faithful. I thank You Lord Jesus! I give You all the glory for Your love, Your mighty power to deliver and to save. All glory to God! Praise the Lord’.

The helicopter company responsible for transporting the VP and his team to Kabba, Kogi State has issued a statement on the cause of the crash. According to Caverton, the crash was ‘as a result of unusual weather conditions’.

Nigerian oppositional party, PDP has expressed shock over the crash of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s Helicopter in Kogi. The party has however demanded an investigation into the incident. The party issued a statement saying.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) expresses shock over the crash of the helicopter carrying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, in Kabba, Kogi state, on Saturday.
The PDP thanks God for the safety of Vice President Osinbajo, members of his entourage and the crew.
The party however called for a thorough investigation into the traumatic incident adding that the safety of our leaders, and of course, all Nigerians, must be guaranteed, especially at this critical time.
The PDP urges all Nigerians irrespective of creed, ethnicity and political affiliation, to continue to pray for God’s continued intervention in our national life.
