Omotola Thought She Wasn’t ‘The Marrying Type’ But Captain Matthew Proved Her Wrong!

Nollywood finest, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde who is a pilot celebrated 25 years of marriage today, March 23rd. The beautiful couple treated their fans to some gorgeous photos on social media to celebrate the journey and milestone.

According to the Nollywood actress, before marriage, she didn’t believe she was the marrying type, and Captain Matthew was told by her mum severally that Omotola wasn’t the marrying type. But when Omotola met the young pilot, he convinced her it would be worth it. “No pressure”, he said. “I’m not trying to change you”. Can you handle her? they asked him.

25 years later, and they’re still very much in love and happy.

The beautiful couple got married in 1996 but had their white wedding ceremony of a kind in 2001 on board a Dash 7 aircraft while flying from Lagos to Benin with close family and friends.

Omotola gave birth to her first daughter in 1997 and had 3 more children later while following her passion in Nollywood and the music industry. With a supportive husband and lovely children, the couple has been able to stay strong despite all celebrity challenges which did not skip the lovebirds.

The 43-year-old renowned actress popularly known as Omosexy looked amazing as always while striking a pose with her man.

Omotola while posting these beautiful pictures also used the opportunity to wish her husband a Happy Birthday, saying; “Happy birthday to a Rare kind of Man. You Need to be studied. Your Type is probably One in a Century. Live Long King ! 👑 Love you forever My Captain”.
