Leading US celebrity fashion stylist, Kanayo Ebi whose clients include the likes of Angela and Vanessa Simmons has teamed up with Pop Up Africa, the curators of London’s biggest African inspired shopping event ‘Africa at Spitalfields’, to launch their first ever collaboration in a series of pop-up style events.

Launching its opening event in London, The Kach It Project, will showcase a collective of fashion forward and groundbreaking designers and brands from ready to wear to haute couture clothing and accessories inspired by Africa and the disapora, in an exclusive two day shopping and lifestyle experience in East London’s iconic Olympic Village.

The Kach It Project will take place on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th March 2017 at the new digital art space – Red, Yellow, Blue in the postapocolympic East Village in Stratford, London (behind Westfield Stratford City).

Fashion, beauty, lifestyle and food lovers will enjoy an assortment of African enthused brands from 2017’s one to watch list, plus interactive workshops, tasters, talks and demos. Showroom designers include Ezie, Innocente Messy and RAAAH/Rahima Mohamed Couture whose pieces have been worn by celebrities Erykah Badu, Angela and Vanessa Simmons, Maria Borges, Leslie Grace, Pearl Thusi, Sanya Richards-Ross and more; in addition to London-based art and fashion labels, live entertainment and West African food.

Pop Up Africa’s founder Jessica Laditan says: “We’re delighted to partner up with the Kach Me If You Can Showroom this year, showcasing great fashion design from across the globe together with home-grown talent, in such a great location. Expect to be blown away whilst shopping for the most sought after art, fashion and interior designs coupled with exceptional food and drink, exclusive hair and beauty masterclasses and live entertainment all over a two day shopping experience.”

Kach Me If You Can Showroom founder and celebrity stylist Kanayo Ebi added: “I couldn’t think of a better partnership than joining forces with Pop Up Africa for the showroom’s first ever event in London. We’re excited to showcase and debut some of our designers’ new spring/summer 2017 collections and of course work alongside some of the UK’s most talented and emerging brands. There’s certainly something here for everyone.”
