The Duke of Edinburgh is one shy of turning a century old.
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II, is celebrating his 99th birthday today.
A classic photo of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh has been released on the official Instagram page of the Royal Family in celebration of his outstanding age.
In the photo taken on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in Windsor, United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband pose in the quadrangle of Windsor Castle.
The post is accompanied by a birthday wish and detailed bio of the Duke.
It reads in part:: “A very Happy Birthday to His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh who turns 99 today!”
Prince Philip was born on the Greek Island of Corfu on the 10th of June 1921 to Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg.
