On this day May 11, 1981, Jamaican reggae icon Bob Marley died at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami, USA, aged 36.
Bob Marley was considered one of the pioneers of reggae music whose impact is still felt by generations of music fans around the world today.
Known for fusing elements of reggae, ska, and rocksteady, as well as his distinctive vocal and songwriting style, Marley’s contributions to music made him a global figure in popular culture for over a decade.
Today marks the 39 years after his death, and fans has flood social media via Twitter with photos, videos and endearing words to eulogize the One Love coroner.
