On Sunday, May 3, 2020, the latest edition of 3Music Awards was successfully staged at the Fantasy Dome in Trade Fair, Accra, Ghana.
As expected, the 2020 awards ceremony of 3Music tagged ‘Stay Home’ was held behind closed doors and without an audience as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. But that did not prevent celebrities from looking outstanding at the event – with face mask at the top of the fashion trend.
Top rapper Sarkodie was the biggest winner on the night, bagging five awards out of a possible 12 following his nomination in multiple categories. He won ‘Music Man of the Year’ coupled with ‘Hiphop Act of the Year’.
Other notable acts to emerge winner in coveted categories were Teni and Diana Hamilton who both clinched awards for ‘African Act of the Year’ and ‘Gospel Act of The Year’ respectively.
The show was hosted by Ghanaian media personality, Jay Foley and actress, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku.
