In recent days and perhaps two weeks and counting, the major football transfer story had been about the  Nigerian Edo state born super eagles and former Sporting Charleroi forward Victor Osimhen, we made a pioneering post and indeed we were outstanding on his big-money move to Napoli counting to between 70 to 95 million euros, but only the next morning, smelling the coffee and we did wake up also to a further opera as Reuters all over social media continued to spring up captions and purported quotes of Osimhen discountenancing the move to Napoli and almost pointing a graphic finger to the press as his “undoers” of this so-called Rumor.

The Nigerian striker was said to have finalized a move to the Serie A club Napoli, however, the player has rubbished talk of a completed deal, and Osimhen has come to deny reports that he has agreed on a transfer to Napoli, dismissing them as “fake news”.

Osimhen enjoyed an impressive campaign in Ligue 1 with the northern French club Lille, before the 2019-20 campaign was ended early as a result of the pandemic. This performance has seen the Nigeria international linked with several clubs around Europe, Little wonder this led to claims from several outlets that Osimhen has agreed a deal with Serie A club Napoli – however, these have again and again been said to have been rubbished by the player himself.

Osimhen has also reportedly attracted interest from the Premier League, with Tottenham and Liverpool among the names mentioned. However, his said agent  Ariyo Igbayilola who also it was hinted via a songbird to have been relieved of his service, says the player will only join a club where he is guaranteed first-team football. Osimhien’s Agents was quoted “We told Mourinho that if he wants Victor, will Harry Kane be leaving? If Harry Kane is still playing for Tottenham will Victor play? These are however valid questions because Osimhen will always be benched for him, Osimhen’s agent was further Quoted thus “Kane is their number one striker and he is the captain of England, all these will always work for him in the club but at Victor’s detriment. He needs a club where he will always play full games week in, week out. Not to be kept on the bench.”

Although it was taunted that Lille and the Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, has denied ‘fake news’ reports that he agreed to a five-year contract with Napoli; we believe that we are yet to see the end to this unsettled subject matter of the prolific player, we observed that many pundits first reported that the Ligue 1 star had entered a verbal agreement with the Serie A giants, and numerous journals and webpages carried the news. The striker has been valued at €50m and was expected to move on this summer after as many seasons in Lille which if you were a good observer of him you would agree that’s a fine campaign on an individual level.

Napoli stands currently the favourites for the 21-year old with others at the fringes,  but  they face strong competition from Liverpool, we can only but agree, Osimhen reserve a bragging right to be upset,  for  him to see reports in Nigeria and France of a five-year deal already agreed with the Partenopei  is theatric
