Multi-Talented Nigerian artist, Sound Sultan has passed away at the age of 44. According to the statement released by his family, the singer died in the early hours of Sunday, July 11 2021 after a long battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma.
An angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma is a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which is a group of related cancers that affect the lymphatic system.
In May of 2021, news broke that the singer was seriously ill after being diagnosed with throat cancer in the United States. There were reports he commenced chemotherapy following the ailment. He also issued a statement and promised to talk about his battle once he gets better. Sadly, he passed away two months later.
Sound Sultan is survived by his wife and 3 children.
