A South African couple who were prepared to settle for less on their wedding day have seen fortune shine on their side after a video of their proposal at a KFC restaurant went viral on social media.
Hector Mkansi had earlier proposed to his partner Ntlantla at a KFC restaurant.
Their wonderful moment was caught on camera by KFC customers who excitedly react to the surprise proposal.The video found its way to micro blogging platform, Twitter and subsequently went viral after KFC South Africa shared it and asked for help in finding the couple.
The post was re-tweeted more than 13,000 times, and the hashtag #KFCProposal started trending. Hector Mkansi was identified by one Twitter user on Friday. According to him, he had spoken to Hector Mkansi who said they wanted to have a wedding but he and his fiancé didn’t have the means.
And since then people have been offering to help the newly engaged couple have the wedding of their dreams.
South African social media users are donating everything needed to make their dream wedding possible – including food, outfits, entertainment and even the honeymoon.
While some of the country’s businesses have now also offered to help create an unforgettable wedding for the pair.
This act of kindness have got ordinary South Africans applauding.
