Australian-Sudanese model, Duckie Thot, 22, whose real name is Nyadak Thot, has been revealed as the new face of L’Oreal Paris.In an Instagram post, Thot said: “Beyond blessed to be the new global spokeswoman for L’Oréal makeup.”
She expanded on what the singing means to her in a statement given to WWD.
She said: “I’m honoured to represent L’Oréal Paris, a brand that celebrates infinite ways to be beautiful and makes products for all women.
“I’m looking forward to helping more girls love the beauty of their dark skin. In my mind, I’m going back in time and telling the young girl I was: ‘Dream big, work hard and trust in yourself girl, because one day you’re going to say yes to the number-one beauty brand’.
L’Oréal said Thot incarnates perfectly confident and pure beauty.
The 22-year-old will make her first appearance for the brand during its show at Paris Fashion Week on September 30.
Thot, who has appeared in Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty campaigns has been vocal about the changes needed in the beauty and fashion industry.
