The dad of the late Dowen College student, Sylvester Oromoni Jnr,  has disclosed a few of the sacrileges his son suffered in the college.

According to the father, his son was subjected to dire inhumanities, revealing that the senior students who rough handled his son had tabled to the school management the initial term.

He said,

“Sylvester my son was humiliated. He is supposed to celebrate his 12th birthday next tomorrow (Dec 4). I’ll bake a cake for the birthday and cut it like he was there. The same  killers in question were previously reported to the school management last term when they dealt with Junior and collected his entire foodstuffs; clothes. I have two girls, one of them graduated before now. I decided to move the second daughter after this mayhem. They forced my son to describe the sister’s private part and the information were in our hands.”

The Oromoni Snr also revealed that the boy had been threatened to be executed if he ever discloses his ordeal in school.

Sylvester’ dad continued that Dowen College had claimed a different thing in a statement about the incident, while a family friend who they asked to go and carry Oromoni Jnr home from the school said contrary.

“The killers instilled fear in him largely that, asking him of his case there becomes futile most times and he usually say, ‘they will kill me’. This way, we got confused. I considered putting him in another school but changed my mind as his sisters were still in the school,” the father narrated.

“I learnt about the new incident on November 21st after a call came from the school to my wife to let us know that our son was in the school clinic, wounded. My senior son, who was to make a London trip, came to see us in Warri.

“The next day, we sent a family friend to help pick up our son since he was the only person in Lagos and take him to the hospital. When he got there, he panicked, pointing out that he doubts it’s a football injury as the school claimed. He said the boy couldn’t stand because his waist was bent and swollen along with one side of his belly. His mouth was black. I asked, ‘is this really a football injury?’ He was taken to my house in Lagos but couldn’t sleep at night.

“I asked my eldest to fly to Lagos on November 24 while I took a trip to Asaba, from where I’d also make for Lagos. On getting there, he screamed. ‘This is beyond football injury. Come to Lagos now,’ he told me over the phone.”

Behold, Dowen College, had wired emails to parents early Friday morning, that students should not attend school on Friday, 3rd December and Monday, 6th December following the matter.
