American super singer Taylor Swift has released her eight studio album titled ‘Folklore’
Swift announced the release of her new surprise album via Instagram on Friday, July 24, 2020, in a glaring post that detailed the process of the new project.
According to the music star, ‘Folklore’ was written and recorded while her imagination ran wild in isolation, and she took it on after doubt was cast over her Summer plans in wake of Covid-19 outbreak.
Like other performers, Swift had canceled her touring plans for this year amid the coronavirus pandemic, including that for her August 2019 album, ‘Lover’.
She wrote: “Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening, but there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, Folklore.”

Swift’s 16-track album includes contributions from Jack Antonoff, her frequent producer; Aaron Dessner who she said co-wrote or produced 11 songs; the songwriter William Bowery; and Bon Iver.
