It’s no secret that black people have been making significant strides in numerous fields in the UK post 1948…but surprisingly many people’knowledge stems around the ‘Windrush years and their actual interest and knowledge pre-1948’s and who were the people that paved the way for Black people to have been able to make #GreatBritain ‘Greater’ has been due to what press choose to portray somewhat stiffled.
Since MISS NUBIAN FOUNDATION’ inception, in 2009,they have carefully devised numerous activities ,initiatives and events that not only provide exemplary platforms for performing ,literary and visual artists alike, but they also been a fundemental tool that has been implemented to redress the obvious lack of knowledge about history ,heritage within the Black and wider communities and thus far the Miss Nubian brand as slowly but surely been succesful at promoting positive images synonymous with Black people .
Championing the notion that- ‘ Art is indeed a catylst for social change,throughout the year MISS NUBIAN FOUNDATION organise a series of #BlackHistory365 heritage and culture and awareness raising activities that are targeted at the diverse next generation of leaders ,adults and the wider community.
The culmination of which this year on the 22nd October,the luxurious Hilton Hotel LondonTower Bridge will be transformed into a Culural Haven to host the UK’ foremost celebration ofBLACK SUCCESS.
This spectacular showcase itinary is poised to EXCITE & UNITE people of all ages (minimum age is 11) & ethnicities and diverse backgrounds and will duly honour individuals of African & Carribean heritage, who have made significant achievements that have positively attributed towards improving the levels of social cohesion,pride and success of Black people residing in the UK.
