“The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain,” is a must-watch for everyone. When African Americans complain about the continuous harassment by white policemen, the death of Goerge Floyd comes to mind. But before the viral issue of Flyod, there was a Kenneth Chamberlain, who, unfortunately, didn’t get any justice.

Played by veteran Actor Frank Faison, the movie chronicles the sad tale of the police shooting of a retired US Marine, which occurred on November 29, 2011, in White Plains, New York.

The film was an adaptation of a true-life story, and was produced by David Midell. Also, Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary served as executive producers.

When the medical device linked to his heart accidentally triggered an alarm, the medical outfit in charge of his health, dispatched police officers to his home, in order to ensure that he was okay.

Upon their arrival, Mr. Chamberlain made it known that he wasn’t going to open the door without a warrant. “I am fine,” he kept on saying. But of course, the injustice by the policemen which he feared, actually started manifesting itself.

He related his condition to the medical outfit, which in turn, tried reaching the police officers. Efforts done to reach the officers proved abortive, and even when he brought the means of communication close enough for the policemen to see that he had an audience with the hospital, they still didn’t listen.

His niece who had come around, alongside other neighbors of his, pleaded with the policemen to leave, since their constant banging of the door would affect his heart.

“We’ll show him who’s the boss,” they kept saying.

Some even alleged that he could be hiding something, and this, they kept saying with their dirty pride, in order to have an excuse for breaking into his apartment.

They unlawfully continued trying to force their way inside his home, and when they finally did, the event ended on a sad note.

Much praise for Frank Faison for putting up a classic acting we’ve never seen in a long time.

An amazing film with a 5-star rating.
