British national newspaper The Times has released the first edition of its esteemed 100 Next List for the year 2019 on Wednesday, November 13th.

The list feature stars that are shaping the future on their various fields of endeavor like business, politics, entertainment and lots more.

Some notable names to appear on the list include Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson, speaker of the U.S house of representative   Nancy Pelosi, legendary American basketball player Lebron James and Michael Obama, wife of former U.S president Barrack Obama.

But here at AfricanGlitz, we’re casting our focus on the young African visionaries who walked their way into The Times renowned 100 Next List.

Bob Wine – Ugandan musician-turned-politician who plans to challenge President Yoweri Museveni in the next general election.

Wanuri Kahiu – Kenyan filmmaker who produced the award-winning lesbian love story film Rafiki.

Kwame Onuwachi – celebrated American-Nigerian chef

Adut Akech – South Sudanese model

Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi – activist who founded an organisation in Nigeria to help sexual-assault survivors.

Magid Magid – Somali-born British MEP who sits on the main committee looking into the migration crisis in the European Parliament.

Njideka Akunyili Crosby – Nigerian-born visual artist

Joy Adowaa Buolamwini – Ghanaian-American computer scientist
