“This Too Shall Pass,” AY Shares Cryptic Post After Ex-Wife’s Statement Amid Public Speculation

Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, shared a cryptic post hours after his wife, Mabel Makun’s, statement.

Africanglitz reported that the interior designer had broken her silence on her crashed marriage to the comedian, stating that her dreams of a lifelong marriage have now taken a different direction and she is committed to moving forward with grace and resilience.

The mother of two pleaded with the media and public to give her and her estranged husband privacy as they navigate their new phase.

She noted how many lies have been peddled against her and attacks orchestrated in the social media space, but she will honor her kids by not addressing them.

She, however, made it known that her silence shouldn’t be misunderstood and that AY deserves a certain level of respect.

Mabel made it known that her children’s mental health and general well-being are their major priorities.

On his Instagram page, Ayo Makun shared a cryptic message, stating that “This Too Shall Pass.” Indirectly meaning that the heartbreak of his crashed marriage shall pass.

On Sunday night, AY confirmed the end of his almost 20-year relationship with Mabel Makun.

The famous stand-up comedian expressed regrets for losing his home, which had taken him almost 20 years to build, and also admitted to doing things that were compromising during the marriage.

He, however, warned against projecting the wrong narrative about him and his family, which he found injurious to his teenage daughter.

Hinting at a possible fault from his wife, Ayo Makun claimed no one is completely innocent and stated that “women always play the victim and win.
