Mothering Sunday has been celebrated in the United Kingdom since the 16th century. The “Mother’s Day” celebrations we know today, were founded in the 20th century by Anna Jarvis West Virginia in the United States. Today, various parts of the world celebrate honouring mothers on different days every year.

The African Euro Hospitality Association believes that a pre-Mother’s Day event should happen annually when families can Chat, Eat & Dance with their Mothers (CEDM).

The organisers of the great mothering event are delighted to announce that Nne Mother’s Day Event has been moved to summer 2022. A time that will be more convenient for everyone, especially after the covid pandemic.

Moving the mother’s day celebration to summer will also allow us to display our traditional outfits in style and enjoy the occasion fully with people from other religions and walks of life.
