Series entrepreneur and entertainment celebrity Toyin Lawani has replied to those criticizing her over the outfit of former Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ Housemate Hermes to the Wakanda forever premiere.

It was reported that Big Brother Naija stars stormed the event, which was held in Lagos on the 6th of November 2022, with various daring Afrofusion outfits for the movie premiere.

Hermes, who appeared to be the best-dressed housemate, however, caused a stir on social media following the misspelling of the late Chadwick Boseman’s name as ”Chad Boswick”  by his designer, Toyin Lawani.

In an effort to honour Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 after a four-year battle with cancer, Hermes had the late actor’s face and name emblazoned on the back of his cape, but the name was misspelt.

“R.I.P. Chad Boswick” was boldly written on the cape instead of Chadwick Boseman.

Netizens Criticized Toyin Lawani

The mistake sparked a ton of responses from Nigerians on social media, and soon Chadwick Boseman’s incorrect spelling began trending on Twitter.

Hermes’ stylist, Toyin Lawani, received harsh criticism from netizens for overlooking that minor detail.

Reacting a Twitter user wrote, “Who tf spells Chadwick Boseman as ‘Chad Boswick’?”

@_peacefull_wealth, “She even write am for the clothe  how Hermès wan take hide the name na so em go dey patrol with wrong name for premier and correction fluid no dey around, chai ”.

@itz.deya__,“How won’t you know the name of someone you’re supposedly paying tribute to and even attending his movie premier?”

Toyin Lawani Replied Critics

Reacting to the series of backlash faced following an error on the housemate’s outfit, Toyin via her Instagram on Tuesday, noted that she has no time for naysayers and will continue to move forward.

She wrote: “No time for naysayers, who God don bless he don bless, We keep moving forward, it’s been a Dream and it’s happening guys.”
