Tragedy: Heavily Pregnant TikTok Star Nicole Thea Dies Along With Unborn Son

Pregnant British-Ghanaian social media sensation Nicole Thea has died with her unborn son.

Nicole Thea, 24, was the partner to Jeffrey Frimpong aka Global Boga, a Ghanaian TikTok star also based in the United kingdom.

The popular dancer and Instagram influencer sadly passed away on Saturday morning just weeks away from her due date, according to a statement posted on her Instagram account.

“To all Nicole’s friends and supporters it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Nicole and her son she and Boga named Reign sadly passed away on Saturday morning. Also Nicole pre-schedule a few YouTube videos and Boga has made the decision to allow them to be aired,” the statement reads in part.

Her passing on comes as a devastation to hubby Boga who was looking forward to the arrival of their son, Reign.

The pair has won hearts with their countless couple goals TikTok videos of themselves dancing together, even while Thea was heavily pregnant.

Cause of her tragic death remains unknown at the time of this report.

YouTube star Nicole Thea posted a video about her ‘emotional’ pregnancy just days before her death, joking that it felt like ‘the baby’s eating me’.

In another Youtube video posted on July 1, she spoke about ‘the worst thing about my pregnancy’.

In the clip, she told her followers: ‘I’m more emotional. Literally I could be fine one minute and then the next second I’m crying. I’m having a good pregnancy, but emotions are just too much.

‘I’m so out of breath 27/4. I would walk from here to the end of the room and feel like I’m dying. I feel like the baby’s eating me.’

A behind-the-scenes video from Nicole’s pregnancy photoshoot in a bathtub was posted to her YouTube channel just an hour before the news of her death was shared. Comments have since been disabled.

Nicole’s boyfriend and the father of her unborn child Global Boga is yet to comment on his loss.

Miss Thea, 24, was eight months pregnant and was chronicling her baby journey to her 160,000 Instagram followers and nearly 90,000 YouTube subscribers.

According to Daily Mail UK, her uncle who goes by the name Charles Murray has revealed to them that the family believe she suffered a cardiac arrest.

He also revealed the family had also been hit by a series of tragedies in the last few weeks.

Nicole’s grandfather died recently as well as Charles’ mother and last week his wife’s, who is her brother-in-law.

Nicole Thea is a professional dancer who has worked with popular Afrobeats artists such as Davido, Tiwa Savage and more. She worked with Ezinne Asinugo of Zinarts as a dancing coach and they often tour around the world. So she is a very physically active young woman and her Instagram videos while heavily pregnant is also a testimony.

In addition to her mom’s post, the family on Wednesday, July 15th Published another statement, explaining that it has been a hard time for them all. And they’re still trying to process the tragic incident.

They said they can see many stories published about what really happened, and these are all incorrect. They said they would not like to discuss the details surrounding her passing and will decide at a later time whether they want to or not.
