An emotional Rema was quite reflective as he pondered on some profound private matters.
Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has left his fans concerned after going on a massive rant on social media.
The young music star took to his Twitter page today being Monday, September 28, 2020, where he highlighted his past and present experiences in the music industry.
What first seemed like lines from an upcoming project became serious when he started talking about some deeply personal issues and making worrisome revelations.
He had shots for everybody including his detractors, the girl who rejected him and inspired ‘Why’ and his first engineer who ran away. Then he took time out to thank Barack Obama for featuring his song, ‘Iron Man’ on that playlist and producer, Ozedikus for sticking with him through the tough times.
The 20 year-old crooner didn’t hold back as he also talked about his mother and late brother. Rema said his brother was deserted by his friends when he needed them the most on his sick bed.
He apologized to one Eric whose laptop he stole in 2017. According to him, he was the only man in the family at the time and had to do all in his power to fend for them.
This comes barely a day after Rema gave an electric performance at the grand finale of the Big Brother Naija reality show.

Thank you OBAMA for seeing what I saw in Ironman, lot of niggas couldn’t. I was 18 when I made that song, the beat got 6 sounds. I’ll give that simple beat to half the game and I won’t get a record as strong as IRONMAN.

Niggas feel I’m disrespectful, they want me to alert them before I drop.

To the girl who rejected me before this fame, I’m eating the royalties off this pain. (WHY)
— REMA (@heisrema) September 28, 2020
Ozedikus took risks for me, he was under a management with guidelines. He sneaked beats to me so I could record when my first engineer left me because we couldn’t pay him at the time. All the beats Ozedikus sneaked are now HITS.

Eric, Sorry I stole your Laptop in 2017, I know you were trying to help me. My Mom had a child on the way, I was the only man in my family. They made fun of her because she got pregnant, I wanted to prove them wrong bro, I had to do it.

Mom don’t need my money, she just wanna be happy. She said invest so your children don’t suffer like you did.
— REMA (@heisrema) September 28, 2020
Niggas label my music rubbish because I infuse my Edo language. Because I didn’t follow the usual guidelines to music, because I hacked Afrobeats with God given melodies, they called it ‘Indian’ because they DO NOT UNDERSTAND ME. I’m not of this world, know this now!
