There was alleged drama at the US Embassy in Abuja on Thursday when founder of Winners’ International Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo was denied a visa by the US consulate.
The viral media report was covered by news outlets, This Day, which claimed that the highly respected venerable was disgruntled about the situation and created a scene at the premises as he sought to know the reason behind the denial of his visa renewal request.
But in a recent development on Friday, the US Embassy in Nigeria has debunked the report branding it a False News Alert!
The Embassy made this known via a statement on their official Twitter page.
The tweet reads:
