After 2 years of joining the film industry, the British born actress who has starred in various films in the UK and worked with veteran reputable directors has decided to take a giant step out of the comfort zone in the UK, to invade the US film industry with her unquestionable and unstoppable talent accompanied with a jaw dropping creativity as she displayed in her last epic movie ‘ ‘INVASION1897‘ by Lancelot Imaseun.
The beautifully talented actress has done what many female actresses have only thought, hoped and dreamt of doing, but withdrawn, when it came to stepping up to the platform of a different level of exposure in the very competitive film industry.
Yvonne has played supporting roles in UK based films such as ‘The Rubicon‘, ‘Ilu-Oba (The Queen’s Land)‘, ‘International Games‘, ‘Strive to Survive‘, ‘Urban Rhythm‘ (which screened at the recent Pan African Film Festival in L.A), ‘Shameful Deceit‘ and ‘Battered‘. She has also played lead roles in ‘Heartless Carer‘, ‘Purity of Heart‘, ‘Day one in London‘, and ‘Diaries‘.
Yvonne Hays was rewarded for her hard work by recently winning the BEFFTA (Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television, Arts) Award for ‘Best Actress 2013’ in the film category. All her movies have so far been produced and shot in the UK, however her dreams of showcasing her talent abroad has started to materialise in a new role outside the UK in the upcoming American film ‘TORN DIARIES‘.
The cast and crew of the upcoming American film ‘TORN DIARIES‘ include the ever talented and creative Nigerian born Actor/producer/director Robert Peters, who won an African Oscars award in 2012 & 2013 and has also starred with Holly
wood’s Vivica Fox, Kim Basinger, Mickey Rourke in Jeta Amata’s ‘BLACK NOVEMBER‘. He has also produced/directed and edited many top standard films in Nollywood America. He has directed/edited the following films, “Faces of Love“, “Pure Silence“, “When One Door Closes“, and “Nurses From Hell“.
