The portraite above is the ‘FACE’ represent the ABUSED WOMEN OF AFRICA, sexually and otherwise, the marginalized and the forgotten, lost female voices  in the wake of greed, corruption, bad government, religious segregation and poverty.

“When Dr. Pauline Long asked me to do this with her I was so thrilled  because I believe in the power of  ” WE”. An African proverb says ,” If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go together. And this is  the unique quality that Pauline Long have.  She believes  in the mighty force of great minds working together.
Thanks to  Pauline  Long for making this Happen”. She said.

“I used this as a THEME PICTURE because I think it says it all. The traditional Malian women with the big earrings represent the beauty and the strength of an African woman. It  represent and speaks for these forgotten and suppressed voices of the rural and the African women in general. The  “modern day” African woman,  do not want to stay in the dark anymore. We don’t want to be taken for granted any longer. We want to speak for ourselves and participate strongly in decisions concerning homes, communities and nation at large”.

“These two represented my Strong African beauties, my strong African warriors that has conquered the test of time. We still conquering and there is no stopping us”.

“I used these 4 paintings to remind the society that it is these rural African women that raised these strong men and women in our nations. All these presidents, leaders of all classes emanated from these women. If we like it or not, these are the voices that moved the world and  is still moving the world. So I speak for you with my paintings “you beautiful ever happy dedicated lost Voices”.

  1. Thanks to Africandazzle Magazine for this great Article. And thanks to Dr. Pauline Long for Initiating and fostering the Global African Women’s Week (GAWW) which was held at the Houses of Parliament that has given back the voice to African women. I hope and believe that the (GAWW) Forum would be an Avenue of further exposition and expansion of the Latent Qualities in the African Woman.
