Singer Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn have a new addition to their family.
Award-winnimg British singer Ed Sheeran has announced his wife Cherry Seaborn has given birth to their first child together, a baby daughter named Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
The proud new dad happily came out of his social media hiatus to share the news with his fans via his Instagram account on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
Sharing a sweet photo of a blanket and pair of booties, the Shape Of You Singer declared that his wife had put to bed safely with the help of a team of medical practitioners.
“Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran,” he wrote
Continuing the loving message, Ed revealed the couple were reeling in affection for their daughter. The famously private artist also let fans know that both mum and baby were doing fine and asked that they respect the family’s privacy.
He added: “We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x”
Ed Sheeran tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Cherry Seaborn, in 2018 after the pair reconnected back in 2014 and started dating.
