Singer John and Chrissy are mourning the loss of their baby.
Reputable American Singer John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, have announced the birth and death of their baby just one month after announcing their pregnancy.
Chrissy Teigen shared the devastating news that she and her husband have lost their son, who they named Jack, in a heartbreaking social media post.
Jack was birthed as a stillborn after mother, Teigen, experienced several pregnancy complications. She was recently hospitalized for severe bleeding during her pregnancy and revealed their baby boy was in the “danger zone.”
The devastating post shared via her Instagram page on Thursday, October 1, 2020, included five black and white photos taken at the hospital.
One of the photos show Chrissy crying on her bed, while another capture John cradling the stillborn. She also penned a heartfelt note about the demise of their baby.
A stillbirth is the death or loss of a baby before or during delivery. Both miscarriage and stillbirth describe pregnancy loss, but they differ according to when the loss occurs.
Opening up about the news and her devastating loss, the 34-year old model wrote: “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
Teigen and Legend, 41, announced back in August that they were expecting their third child.
The couple got married in 2013 and have two children, daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2, whom they conceived through IVF.
