Since the wedding of Nollywood Actress Rita Dominic to her lover Fidelis Anosike, a lot has been said. Having made their relationship public in December 2020 after sharing lovely photos of themselves during the Christmas period, they decided to tie the knot this year.
The occasion which has got the public talking has had people in the opposition stating that he is of no good to her. And when you ask, you get several reasons, especially from people who feel the marriage wouldn’t last.
Why wouldn’t it last?
According to Gbogistblog and other sources, Rita Dominic would be his fourth marriage. While sources state that he had married twice before now, others state that he had divorced three times. But one thing is very common in all the warnings from social media:
He is a serial divorce who is alleged to have anger issues.
Others are accusing him of fraud, amidst other negative things.
How true are these accusations of fraud?

“Fidelis’ company also organizes events like; the Miss Nigeria pageant, The Times Heros Award, and Nigeria our Heritage Grand book.
In 2018, Fidelis and his brother, Mr Noel Anosike, were charged to court by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) with allegations that he may have acquired Daily Times through fraudulent means. The FG alleged that he and his brother did not follow the legal process when buying the local newspaper.”
The public concern for the union is such that while others are shouting “congratulations,” a greater number of followers believe she’s on a rollercoaster and that she deserves prayers.
“Her success is why he married her.”
“He married her because she matches his status.”
These are the comments you keep hearing on social media, from users who think she is nothing but a Trophy wife.
So, what happens if Rita Dominic’s marriage doesn’t last?
If she had seen certain reasons to wed him, you and I may not be privy to the pieces of information surrounding it. Only a lady knows why she would walk down the aisle with a man said to be lagging in compassion, and proven to be unable to keep a marriage. Sometimes, when you hear the reasons behind the acceptance of a proposal, you would be so shocked that you would start thinking of a way to tell the lady “Don’t marry him because of this!”
What if Rita intentionally chose him, because she wanted him for something important in her line of career? Remember they met in a certain entertainment Award Night. If it’s a complementary marriage, it’s nobody’s business. It would even shock you that Rita could stand to benefit from this union, than the 56 years old Anambra man.
He’s the CEO of Folio Media Group, a multi-media company that owns Daily Times Nigeria (founded in 1926), the country’s oldest and most noteworthy Newspaper. He is also the CEO of Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant.
He also graduated from the prestigious Harvard Business School.
Have you for a second asked if Rita married him because of an assurance of change from him while considering what she stands to gain? He could have met her age and status requirements.
Maybe Fidelis is a Trophy husband too! Yes, you heard me.
For as many as have thought Rita to be a Trophy wife, it could be that he’s also a Trophy husband. If the union doesn’t last, it won’t be the first of such. Many marriages between more notable people have crashed for several reasons, especially because they know when to leave in order to have peace of mind. If along the line, Rita doesn’t see the changes she wanted in him, it’s not wrong if she decides to end the Fidelis-Rita trip. It’s not a do-or-die journey, and I believe she’s matured enough to know this.
But who is to say that their marriage won’t last long? Nobody knows if Rita is his final bus stop. Maybe she’s actually all he’s been looking for in love. Maybe he’s actually all she’s been waiting for over the years.
People should allow Rita and her husband to rest. All we have to do is wish them well in whatever purpose that drove their hearts towards matrimony.
