Nollywood actress Ruth Kadira have rendered her opinion on the current controversy surrounding the marriage of American celebrity couple, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett.
Smith and Pinkett’s marriage recently came under the spotlight after singer, Alsina August revealed during a live interview that he had an intimate relationship with the actor’s wife.
Smith has been subjected to much ridicule on social media of late for his calm attitude toward his wife’s extramarital affair.
However, one person who seems pleased with how the 51-year old husband have handled the issue so far is actress Ruth Kadira who took to social media via her Instagram page to display a show of support for him.
In the post, she pointed out that it was mostly African men who were ridiculing the Men in Black star for forgiving his wife’s situation.
The actress went on to stress the importance of forgiveness in a relationship.
“Have you noticed that its mostly African men who ridiculed Will Smith for forgiving his wife’s situation. To the women who laugh at Will and her situation, you know you wish you had a man who got you like that, but you don’t and shit hurts,” she wrote.
Smith and Pinkett tied the knot back in 1997. The couple have three adult children from their marriage.
