Self-acclaimed investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has alleged that Nollywood Actress Tonto Dikeh is now a suspect on the watch list of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, over her alleged relationship with two suspected Nigerian internet fraudsters, Ramon Abbas and Olalekan Ponle, a.k.a Hushpuppi and Woodberry respectively.
Hushpuppi and Woodberry were arrested in the United Arab Emirate on June 10, 2020, for multiple fraud charges after a raid by operatives of the Dubia crime unit, titled “Fox Hunt 2”.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, which had been on their trail for years, said their victims, mostly in the US, had been duped of hundreds of millions of dollars.
However, Taking to her page on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, the controversial media personality alleged that Tonto dated and benefitted from the stolen funds of internet fraudsters Hushpuppi and Woodberry.
She also accused the actress of dating The late Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Joseph Egbunike.
She wrote;
“Tonto Dikeh was dating Olalekan Ponle at the same time as she was dating late DIG Egbunike according to Ponle popularly known as Mr Woodberry.
I’ve been covering his trial and case with the @fbi @TheJusticeDept. He was arrested alongside Hushpuppi in June 2020″
In 2020 I reported that Woodberry promised to expose all the Nollywood women who he had sex with in Dubai and came to visit them (Hushpuppi) for the purpose of soliciting CASH. The list is long. Ponle mentioned that he and Hushpuppi both dated Tonto but she was seen more with him”
Continuing Kemi Olunloyo claimed the FBI has placed Tonto and others who benefited from Woodberry and Hushpuppi,
Recall that on 28th July 2021, Hushpuppi pleaded guilty to money laundering and also pointed a Deputy Commissioner of Police in Nigeria, Abba Kyari, as an accomplice in his $1.1 million scam deal. The following day, a US Court granted FBI warrant to arrest Abba Kyari. The Police chief was further implicated after his conversation with Hushpuppi was released.
“The feds are looking for everyone that shared his loot. He listed Actress Tonto Dikeh and others. It is very typical for the FBl to look to recover these funds stolen from individuals & companies, this is why DCP Abba Kyari is also on trial as allegedly benefited from Hushpuppi”
