Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has promised to stop ritual-themed movies from a coffin. This is coming weeks after incidents of ritual Killings and sites of incarnation increased in most Nigerian states.

According to a young Nigerian who was arrested for practising rituals, he confessed that he learnt the act from Nollywood movies on Facebook. The story sparked an online debate raising concerns about Nollywood movies and the need for government to censor certain movies.

In reaction to the story and call for certain movie censorship, Yul Edochie claimed that hunger and lack of jobs are actually the main cause of an increase in ritual killings in Nigeria and not Nollywood movies.

However, while sharing a post on his Instagram page, the actor assured his fans and also the general public that he would be taking a lot of romantic roles and no ritual roles.

The actor wrote;
