After emerging as the winner of Best Screenplay at this year’s ZAFAA Global Awards, film, ‘Ilu Oba‘ will once again take centre stage for a specially selected Press Preview at Z’bra Lounge today, Thursday 27th November.

Ilu Oba (The Queens Land) will face another litmus test of credibility, this time before some of the leading film critics within the UK Press.

From 7:15pm a swathe of journalist, bloggers and review writers will be introduced to a completely unique cinematic experience as Ilu Oba launches the new event and production, Dine & View at Z’bra Lounge.  Shortly after the screening, members of the specially invited audience will then put their journalist skills to use in the press conference where the director is joined by members of the cast.

With an all-star UK and Nigerian cast, Ilu Oba successfully chronicles the uncommonly told story of one couple’s (Dapo and Moyo) hardship and disappointment as they try to establish roots in the Queens Land – the United Kingdom.

In a quest for greener pastures, a drastic turn of events leads to a combustible conflict; arresting and powerful to watch as it unfolds. This classic drama presents a less than utopian account love, humanity and morality, making it successful in its portrayal of real life events, certain to win over wide audiences.

This private screening  has been carefully orchestrated in collaboration with the new entertainment concept and television production Dine & View at Z’bra Lounge: where the best of Nollywood cinema and the finest cuisine combine to form the perfect Thursday night out, every last Thursday of the month.

Creator and Director of Dine & View, Esther Ademosu commented on how the film choice came about:

It was an easy choice for us at Dine & View. Director, Taiwo Oduala has maintained high production values and has successfully delivered a grounded and plausible storyline that will absorb its audience. This is precisely what Dine & View is about, encouraging Nollywood’s filmmaker to produce the most considered and compelling motion pictures that compete with the mainstream.’

With a few surprise elements thrown into the night, this is a Press Preview that will not be forgotten in a hurry.
