Davido and his lover Chioma aka Chef Chi, are set to throw the most anticipated wedding this year, according to new development.
A meeting was reportedly held with Chef Chi’s family as Davido paid her bride price.
Several tubers of yam, drinks, and other items in the photo were spotted as Chioma’s dad stood at the centre, coordinating it all.
According to reports, the meeting is important because the groom’s people have to restate their interest in marrying the bride-to-be family in the presence of her Umunna (direct and extended family, with family elders).

Davido traditionally weds Chioma
It was reported that Davido and Chioma had traditionally wedded in November following the loss of their son.
Gistlovers blog had alleged that the singer secretly got married to Chioma after their son’s death.
The traditional wedding, which was done in his father’s house, had few family friends in attendance with no cameras allowed.
According to the blog, Chioma’s bride price had been paid in full.
Recall that Davido had vowed to marry Chiomain 2023, but after the drowning tragedy where they lost their son, the singer has been forced to marry Chioma in other to bury his son in his fathers’ house.
The traditional wedding allegedly took place on November 6th to console Chioma and assure her of her place with Davido.
Davido and Chioma vacation in Cape Verde
This is coming after the lovebirds vacationed in Cape Verde alongside Davido’s elder brother, Adewale Adeleke and his wife, Kani.
Blogger, Gistforum 9ja shared videos from their lavish vacation online. Davido, could be seen in one of the videos playing with his niece while Chioma, who is still grieving her son, looked sober.
The couple also spent the Christmas festivity with his family.
A video posted on Kani, the wife of Adewale Adeleke’s Instagram story, showed the family enjoying an extravagant Christmas dinner.
Since the death of their son, Davido and Chioma have withdrawn from the spotlight and have been keeping a very low profile. While Davido made his first return to Instagram, Chioma has remained inactive on Instagram.
The couple has been spending more time with family. This is to ease their grief and to keep them in check from self-harm.
