Dr Pauline Long Launches Football Tournament In Africa

Philanthropist and entrepreneur Dr Pauline Long is known for celebrating her birthday by giving back, today as she marks another milestone she has launched a football tournament in Kenya and Malawi to give back to the youth. The games dubbed as Dr Pauline Long Super Cup Football Tournament is aimed at supporting the youth in various villages to reach their potential. The football tournament is an initiative by Pauline Long Entrepreneurship Foundation(PLEF).

Meanwhile the humanitarian appointed international youth leader Mr. James WoodsNkhutabasa as the patron of Pauline Long Entrepreneurship Foundation. She said, ‘ There is no other person that fits this role other than Mr. James Woods-Nkhutabasa. I’m so thrilled he agreed to be the Patron of our Foundation. I have for a number of years been a great admirer of his vision, maturity, passion and drive for the betterment of society. He will bring a lot of experience and support to the Foundation.”
As Woods-Nkhutabasa took on this major role, he commented: ‘I have for many years been a supporter and admirer of the extraordinary work Dr. Pauline Long has done and is continuing to do in the UK, Malawi and the world. As a young Malawian with a passion for the development of our nation and continent, this initiative holds a special place in my heart. The Foundation will enable Dr. Long to put youth, both male and female at the forefront of development by providing the necessary skill sets to meet the demands and pressures of a fast-growing and ever-changing society. Training the youth, providing mentorship and most importantly empowering them. It is a great cause worthy of support and I am privileged to be its Patron.’

Pauline Long Entrepreneurship Foundation is a global organisation that provides tools for leadership and entrepreneurship. The foundation cares for the welfare of young men, widows, women and young girls that need support. In Kenya, Pauline Long Entrepreneurship Foundation supports over 60 women by providing them with monthly basic needs. Dr Long said, “Most of these women in the remote village in Kenya are elderly and have no means of supporting themselves, I see them all as my mothers. I simply love them.” The foundation also provides scholarship and sponsors education for children in Congo, Zambia and Malawi.

PLEF is building their first multi-purpose women centre in Malawi. A centre that will open it’s doors to the community for the purpose of education, entrepreneurship and leadership.

DR PAULINE LONG SHORT PROFILE

Dr Pauline Long is a AUGP NOBEL PEACE PRIZE recipient. She is a multi-award winning entrepreneur, philanthropist, media mogul, public speaker, peace activist, mentor, TV producer and presenter who has been listed on Black Women In Europe Powerlist, named the most outstanding woman of the year(2016) and Europe’s most powerful woman for changing many lives through BEFFTA.

The graceful humanitarian and peace activist is the most celebrated African woman in Europe with 7 Lifetime Achievement Awards and over 170 awards given to her for endless service to the society. She is a strong advocate for human love committed to bringing communities together.

She is a global ambassador for Universal Peace Federation(UPF) and Governor at Academy Of Universal Global Peace based in New York. She is the owner and founder of Europe’s biggest award ceremony for black and ethnic personalities in showbiz and leadership – BEFFTA where she has transformed thousands of lives. She is also the owner of award winning film studio East End studios, Mr and Miss East Africa UK: both initiatives support the youth.
She founded FEED THE STREET CHILDREN CAMPAIGN where she engaged her team to provide food to thousands of children in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

DR PAULINE LONG

Dr. Pauline Long is a popular TV presenter on Sky Channel 175 who has transformed lives through Pauline Long Show by giving platforms to the voiceless and fight global injustice such as abuse, extreme poverty, bullying. She is the president of Pauline Long Entrepreneurship foundation where she supplies sewing machines, food and agricultural products to women in different parts of Africa. Through the foundation, she takes care of old and widowed women in Kenya and offers scholarships to students in Malawi, Zambia and Congo. She is currently building a multi-purpose woman and community centre in Malawi. She mentors several youths through Pauline Long Empowerment and mentorship club both in UK and Africa.

Her persistent and long-term support for women has led her to establish these two powerful projects: GAWW(Global Africa Women’s Week) and WAW(Women Appreciating Women). She is also the founder of Diaspora Commonwealth Community Leaders(DCCL), a programme that brings community leaders from over 30 commonwealth countries to build stronger communities and offer lasting solutions to problems faced by those in the Diaspora.
Dr Pauline Long is an ambassador and patron for over 20 charities and organisations including ambassador of The Nelson Mandela Book Of Tribute.

She is the global chairperson of the multicultural global organisation LOANI( Ladies Of All Nations International) A women’s organisation represented in over 70 countries.

Dr Pauline Long sits in the executive board of Women Economic Forum and she is also the Chairperson of Forum for Asian, African and Caribbean Women in Politics(FAWP).
