A story has been going around social media claiming that International Cameroonian footballer, Samuel Eto’o bought plane tickets for Cameroonian migrants in Libya, sending back home to Cameroon. Well, It turns out Eto’o has called it a rumour which “is completely baseless”.
The philanthropist footballer took to his official Facebook page to deny the rumour. “this rumour is completely baseless”. He said.
He also urged his followers to act to prevent the terrible plight of migrants rather than react to it, adding that “among the victims will be people who we’ve lived alongside at some point”.
