The news of Herdsmen Nutorious killing in Nigeria has gone global. Nigerians in London have staged a protest at Trafalgar Square, in the City of Westminster, over the insecurity and clashes between herdsmen killing and farmers in Nigeria.

According to Guardian, the protest was convened by Mutual Union of Tivs in the United Kingdom with support from the Nigerian community in the UK.

Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Americas (NIDOA) urged the federal government to check the activities of armed herdsmen in Nigeria, saying they pose a security threat to the country.

NIDOA, in a statement by Patience Key, Chairperson of NIDO USA and George Nwogu, public relations director, NIDO Americas Board of Trustees, condemned what they termed the needless and mindless killings of innocent Nigerians by armed herdsmen, The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The group said, “It is appalling that in spite of the country’s strict gun control laws, persons purported to be herdsmen carry and use military-style assault weapons openly with impunity.”

“It’s so good that Nigerians who are abroad can add their voices against the atrocities committed by killer Fulani Herdsmen. World Leaders should call on President Buhari to stop his Fulani Herdsmen from open grazing and killing of innocent Christians. The Federal Government should arrest and prosecute the culprits”. Said a concerned Nigerian.
