We have only just welcomed the year 2020,  but popular Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo is already dishing out financial advice to his followers on social media, particularly Christians, that may prove to be valuable to them throughout the remaining days of the year.

The singer recently took to his Instagram page to advise fans on the issue of giving to pastors in a post aimed at those who donate money in form of seed sowing to churches with the hope that it will return back in folds.

According to Timi,  people should invest their money in themselves and businesses instead of sowing seeds because their pastors said so.

He also added that God is not a money doubler and neither are his blessings for sale — so churchgoers should not be manipulated into sowing seeds because of pastors.

Timi becomes the latest Nigerian celebrity to criticize so-called pastors who prey on the ignorance of their congregation by resorting to dubious religious practices in other to make members more willing to give to their churches.

In December 2019, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid both distanced themselves from pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo’s controversial church, COZA, after a controversial video between the church and Davido caused much unrest amongst social media users.
