Veteran Nollywood actor Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, popularly known as Kanayo O Kanayo, has mourned his dear friend and colleague, Amaechi Muonagor, who succumbed to death over the weekend.

On Instagram, Kanayo O Kanayo, who confirmed the death of Amaechi, shared a photo of the deceased, accompanied by a caption reminiscing about their moments together.

The veteran actor recalled how he constantly expressed fear whenever Amaechi Muonagor engaged in any acrobatic summersault, which he did exceptionally well despite his age and stature.

Kanayo O Kanayo mentioned how he brought liveliness to the set and did his best to preserve their cultural values. He also urged his friend to rest well because God knows why he was called at such a time.

Kanayo O Kanayo wrote: “Iyi, I was always afraid whenever you did your acrobatic somersault. It was indeed outstanding despite your weight. You would always say. Nwokem, o taa, meaning, you grew up doing it.

On set, there was no dull moment as you did your best to preserve our Igbo culture. God knows why he called you now. Good night dear brother. RIP”
