Popular Nigerian music artist, Innocent Ujah Idibia, celebrated his 44th birthday today, September 18th. The legendary singer, songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur is Africa’s most decorated and awarded artistes and is popularly known by his stage name 2baba.
2baba gained prominence in the Music and Entertainment Industry with the release of “Face to Face” album which became a major hit, thanks to lead radio track “African Queen” — an award-winning song that captured the hearts of many young people across the continent because of its glorification of women and the African beauty.
2face hasn’t looked back ever since. He has consistently exhibited a steadfast passion to reinventing the wheel and strength of creativity that has come to define the genius that he is.
After over two decades of spearheading and topping the charts in his industry, he remains a formidable mainstay and one of the most influential voice in the Nigerian Entertainment showbiz.
As he turns 44, 2baba took to Instagram to wish himself a happy birthday and used the medium to call on political figures and every citizen to promote peace in Nigeria. He wrote on his Instagram page:
“As I celebrate my birthday today, I call for peace across our dear country Nigeria. Different forms of violence have continue to snatch the lives of Nigerians. I am calling on government and all citizens to do everything we can to promote and guarantee peace”.
