Manchester has been named the number one host to the UK’s most business-orientated individuals by Instant Offices, coming joint first place with Brighton.
The list, dubbed the Entrepreneurial Index by the commercial rental company, was created after an analysis of data drawn from Companies House.
A total of 32,934 companies have been formed this year alone in Manchester, compared with 24,476 last year.
According to The Voice who recently highlighted the achievements of 33-year-old Mancunian Melissa Drummond who has bagged clients including famous cinema brand Odeon for her fast-growing CUE Marketing company.
In 2015 Manchester Metropolitan University conducted its own research on business in the surrounding region, on behalf of the Manchester Evening News and Barclays who released the North-West Top 200 Guide. The guide name-checked successful entrepreneurs and corporations based in the area, including many household favorites such as Bentley, Betfred, Iceland, and Kellogs to name a few.
