Nollywood Actor ‘Obi Madubogwu’ Dies of ‘Foot Ulcer’ after Years of Battle!

Nollywood actor, Obi Madubogwu passed away two days ago after battling diabetes and acute diabetic foot ulcer for many years and passed away on the afternoon of August 28th, 2017.

Obi became famous for his lead role in Battle of Musanga 1and 2. His other movies include;

Help Me Out, Help Me Out 2, Passion of My Blood, Passion Of My Blood 2, The Final Days 2, The Camp, The Champ 2, Mother-In-Law, The Last vote among others. He produced 8 films and Directed 2.

Following his illness, he stayed out of the scenes and his fans began raising funds to help fund his medical treatment.

Some months ago, he gave a vote of thanks to all those who responded to the call for help and stated plans were being made to fly him out to the United States for the final stage of his treatment.

Actor and Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos chapter, Victor Osuagwu described the actor’s death as a shock and a great loss to the movie making community in Nigeria.

“He was getting better; we thought he has passed the critical stage, his legs were already getting better, so we were surprised to hear the news of his passing,” said Osuagwu.

Fans of the Veteran actor took to their twitter pages to pay tribute.

So sad he didn’t make it, may his gentle soul rest in peace.
