Respected Nigerian singer Bukola Elemide, popularly known as Asa, has decleared her admiration for controversial singer Naira Marley and even called herself a ‘Marlian,’ a pop-culture term for fans of the Yahoo Boy singer.
Asa made this known during an interview on Cool FM on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, where she talked about her ideal man, tour and ideal collaboration. The songbird also revealed that she was a victim of the internet fraud locally known as Yahoo in 2019.
Speaking about the controversial singer, the Jailer crooner said: “I think I’m a Marlian. I love him, I think he is awesome.”
She then recounted her ordeal in the hands of internet fraudsters after one of the interviewers pointed out the rapper’s association with Yahoo Boys. According to her, money was siphoned from her bank account, though she stopped short from going into details.
The Jailer crooner said: “Yahoo Boys emptied my bank account, but we won’t go into that.”
