A Nollywood star, Chiwetalu Agu, on Thursday, October 7th was arrested on the street by officers of the Nigerian Army at the Upper Iweka region of Onitsha, Anambra State. According to their reason for arrest, he was wearing a Biafra insignia.
The veteran actor was reported to be in the commercial city on a charitable mission where he shared food commodities with the poor when he was surrounded and whisked away.
Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the Command was aware of the incident but was yet to receive the full details.
Another video has surfaced where the Nigerian army humiliated the actor. He can be seen sitting on the floor at Police headquarters. He tries to explain himself insisting that his outfit is not IPOB/Biafra or Eastern Security Network, but a civil dress of a rising sun.
