Prominent Nigerian media personality Ubi Franklin has taken to social media to recount how he got suicidal after suffering from acute cyberbullying several years ago.
Ubi Franklin says he tried to commit suicide on multiple occasions after he was bullied into depression on social media.
The music executive made the disclosure via his Instagram page today being Wednesday, July 28, 2020, while reacting to the sad video of a cyberbully victim identified as Izuchukwu Madubueze who took his own life few hours after reading his suicide note.
Sharing the mental health issue, Ubi stated that the failed suicide attempts happened three years ago and he stopped having suicidal feelings after he learned to put his happiness first and not let the opinions of strangers on the internet bother him.
“I watched this video of IZU reading out his suicide note before he took his life and I remembered doing this several times 3 years ago unsuccessfully and I am here today,” excerpt from his post reads.

Izuchukwu was accused of sexual harassment by a lady on social media. He killed himself following several failed attempts to take his name off a register that contains the names of men who has been accused or convicted of sexual-related crimes.
