UK’s 2nd Mobile Company O2 offers customers compensation after data outage

The UK’s second largest mobile operator, O2 which has more than 25 million customers, saw disruption to its network yesterday, Dec 6. It all began around 5 am on Thursday and was restored around 9.30pm that evening according to the firm.

4G services were however back up at 3.30am on Friday.

The mobile company has apologised for the inconvenience and announced that Pay monthly customers, SMB business and mobile broadband customers will be credited with two days of charges by the end of January.
While Pay as you go customers will get a 10% credit when topping up in the new year.  O2 will notify customers when it is available.
