The society we leave in, presents us with different types of girls, ladies, and women.
It’s been on the tongues of many, that finding women who are doing honourable jobs to earn living these days, is very hard. You can also understand that this logic emanates from personal experiences and the experiences of others.
The number of ladies involved in the trade of “prostitution” has increased tremendously, that it’s becoming difficult to identify the ones honourably earning a living. There is even a wonderful name for girls involved in such trade – “runs girls.”
So, it was no wonder when a lady driving a tricycle (Keke) to earn a living, became the topic of discussion on social media. A surprised passenger interviewed her briefly and found out that his driver was a graduate of the University of Calabar. She further went ahead to explain to this passenger that she previously worked in some private establishments where the salaries being paid, were poor.
Transportation business with Keke, became a way to make something better while waiting for other opportunities ahead.

The average Nigerian lady would look down on a female keke driver and would possibly laugh at the idea.
So, when entertainment personality – Charly Boy – saw the video of the interview, he was impressed like some of us were. He also requested the help of the general public to help him locate the lady. In his words:
“See young girl wey fit be runsgirl, but instead she follow an honourable way to make a living. Na dis kin people I wan adopt. God punish me if I no bless dis kin person.
Abegi anybody wey know dis girl, tell am say Areafada dey look for ram. Inbox me her number, I fit bless u.”
This goes to show respect for the ladies earning honourably, and they are becoming fewer by the days. Not everyone wants to wear the “honourable” tag, but we are proud of the ones who wouldn’t let hardship lure them dishonourable deeds.
