Drama ensured last night at the Big Brother Naija reality show when People’s favorite housemate Tacha was evicted from the competition through disqualification over her fight with fellow female housemate Mercy earlier on Friday, September 27.
The fight was triggered when Cindy brought to Tacha’s attention of how Mercy poked fun of a supposed smell that oozes out of her body. And on Friday evening, the housemates were all summoned into the lounge, where Big Brother played the clip of the fight.
Tacha was immediately sent packing by Big Brother himself after the rules from the Big Brother Naija rule book was recited to the hearing of everyone. She was reminded of her previous clashes with fellow housemates and the subsequent forgiveness that followed and then told that would not be the case this time.
Mercy, on the other hand, was given a much milder punishment of two strikes by Big Brother for provoking a fight with Tacha. The onlooking housemates were all in shock and let their emotions known as several bursts of tears filled the lounge.
Reactions from both celebrity figures and common Nigerians soon flooded the internet and various social media platforms on the issue concerning Big Brother’s judgment, Tacha’s eviction and Mercy’s unacceptable behaviour.
And in another twist of event, Peter Okoye (the other half of the disbanded music brothers psquare) quickly posted a video of him denying making any initial promise of consoling Tacha with a whooping sum of N60 million if she ever come short of her attempt to win the Big Brother converted prize.
