Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers’ efforts to get out of the DSS custody at the court on Thursday, October 1, failed The lawyers had asked the court to move the IPOB leader from the DSS custody to Kuje prison after he pleaded not guilty to the charges read to him, however, the presiding judge rejected the application and adjourned the matter till Wednesday, November 10.

FCT, Abuja – Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been taken back to the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS). The IPOB leader was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja on a seven-count charge, on Thursday, October 21.

Kanu had pleaded not guilty to the charges bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism.

After his plea, the IPOB leader’s legal team led by Ifeanyi Ejiofor challenged his detention and sought that he should be moved from the DSS custody to Kuje prison in Abuja,
