British Nigerian Actor Wale OJo Talks About 30 Year Career & Debut Short Film at BFI Southbank!

New Nigeria Cinema in association with BFI African Odysseys on Saturday, Dec 2nd presented THE GHOST OF TARKWA BAY a directorial debut by Nigerian actor Wale Ojo and 30 years in the movie industry at the BFI Southbank, London.

After the screening of the short film, there was question and answers about his 30-year career in the film industry, why he decided to embark on a director journey, If he will be telling African stories the way it is, how he aims to take Nollywood to higher highths among other film-related questions.

Wale Ojo’s debut short film, The Ghost of Tarkwa Bay is Nigeria’s first and only surfing movie! First-time Director Wale Ojo is well known as an actor in Nigeria and internationally. The short film tells the story of a young boy who is taught how to surf from the arms of a ghost. An intriguing tale of friendship and the innocence and purity of children.
