Singer Alexandra Burke has debunked claims that she had a ‘meltdown’ backstage after ending up in the bottom two during Sunday’s results show.
The once X Factor winner shut down rumors that she became upset by the results. She wrote on Twitter earlier today, Monday, Dec 4th.
She wrote
“Because it’s really hard to read lies. I have to say something… after the show on the weekend I actually WASN’T in the green room,” “I was in the physio room treating an injury then went home. No meltdown… just happy that we made it through another week.”
The most recent episode of the BBC competition saw Burke end up in the bottom two for the second week in a row, despite topping the leaderboard with a score of 39.
She was hit with an onslaught of accusations, claiming she was ‘fake’ crying as she prepared to perform again to bag a spot in the semi-final.
However, fans think she is trying too hard as she wants to win the show this year. Agreeing on her few mistakes during the dance, they advise her to enjoy the show instead.
