Nollywood actress Chika Ike has finally come out to respond to reports of being in a romantic relationship with Ned Nwoko, husband to industrial colleague, Regina Daniels.
The actress recently took to social media to deny the rumour which kicked off last week and has widely gained traction.
Last Saturday saw a video surfaced online which shows Daniels’ mother, Rita, allegedly threatening to deal with Ike spiritually if she doesn’t stop trying to snatch her daughter’s husband.
The video which has since gone viral also claimed that Nwoko, 59, and Ike, 34, have romantically been involved even before the billionaire took Regina, 19, in as his wife.
In a bid to clear the air, Rita Daniels had earlier come out to deny calling out the actress to leave her daughter’s husband in a post of her own.
Daniels’ mother branded the news “a cooked up story” via her Instagram page as she shared the original video which was used to purport the false claim.
And now the Havard Business Schoool graduate has joined in further dispelling the rumour, through in a manner that could yet prove problematic.
Chika Ike denied dating Ned Nwoko during a question and answer session on Instagram. She told a fan who had quizzed her on the issue that she is not ready to become any man’s 7th wife.
“There’s a rumour going on, are you really dating Ned Nwoko, and are you going to be the 7th wife?” the fan asked.
Responding back, she said, “No, I’m not, and I’m not about to be anybody’s 7th wife. NEVER!.”
Chika Ike and Regina Daniels are among the most popular and sought after actresses in the Nigerian movie industry.
